Areas of Practice

Mr. Wachs' focus is primarily in the areas of complex commercial litigation, trade secret litigation, reinsurance litigation, bad faith matters, insurance coverage litigation, unfair trade competition, and agent/broker malpractice. Mr. Wachs presently holds the highest rating (AV) from Martindale-Hubbell, a national attorney rating service. Florida Trend magazine also has named Mr. Wachs as one of Florida’s Legal Elite and Super Lawyers magazine has placed Mr. Wachs in the top 5 percent of attorneys in the State each year for the last several years.

Education and Employment Background

Mr. Wachs attended the University of North Florida, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in 1990, and Juris Doctorate from the Florida State University College of Law in 1993.

Prior to joining VBWR, Mr. Wachs was a capital partner in the law firm of Holland & Knight LLP.
